In this course will be touching upon different topics related to olive oil so that, by the end, you will be able to distinguish a good extra virgin olive from fake one.
For instance, I will teach you the professional technique to taste olive oils and the more common defects present in olive oil itself. Furthermore, you will learn about the ancient roman practices of producing and consuming olive oil, as well as the practical skill of choosing the right kind of oil for your home, off of any supermarket shelf.
Finally, I will teach you how to use olive oil in your cooking and demonstrate how olive oil is a true staple in Italian cuisine and in the Mediterranean diet. Our country has a vast bio diversity and I will make you taste prized extra virgin olive oils originating from different Italian regions such as Tuscany, Sicily, and the Lake Garda area amongst others, all of which are great olive oil producers.
In the end I will offer you a real Italian bruschetta made with authentic Italian bread and some bufala mozzarella that you can top with fresh pachino tomatoes and extra virgin olive oil.
Following this course you will be granted a certificate of attendance and I will give you a complimentary bottle of 100 ml of extra virgin olive oil to take back home with you.
